We purchased our home in 2023, and it was built in 2000. When we purchased it, I did notice at that time the cement landscape curbing was original and had begun to crack and crumble. I knew at some point it would drive me nuts enough to finally decide to replace it. We sought recommendations for installers, and had a few estimates. Each one was unprofessional, lacked communication, offered no plan, no suggestions, and one of them ghosted us after barely beginning the job. I reached out and got a hold of Neil. He promptly provided us an estimate, and thorough explanation of the job. The custom stamped concrete they did looks absolutely amazing, and they even added my dog’s paw prints at my request, which made it feel really special and personal. After getting several opinions about our drainage problem, we chose City of Trees—and we are very glad we did. We have an older driveway that slopes below grade, so every time it rained the water would run toward the corners and straight into our garage. It had been a frustrating problem for a long time. The City of Trees team came up with a smart and effective solution. They installed a drain across the entire width of the driveway and positioned the low point several feet away from the garage so the water now flows safely away from the house. What really impressed us was their expertise and attention to detail. They ran the drain underneath an existing retaining wall without damaging it, which clearly required careful planning and skill. While they were working, they also noticed water pooling near our foundation. Instead of ignoring it, they proactively recommended installing drains for the gutter downspouts as well. They dug out and installed two additional drains to carry that water away from the house and protect the foundation. The City of Trees team was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly committed to solving the problem the right way rather than just doing the minimum. They looked at the overall water flow around the property and made sure everything was handled properly. The workmanship and problem-solving were outstanding, and the results speak for themselves. If you have drainage issues, water pooling, or driveway runoff problems, I highly recommend City of Trees.
